The first batch of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine doses will arrive in the Philippines on June 27, according to Dizon.

On Friday, testing czar Secretary Vince Dizon said that the first batch of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine doses will arrive in the Philippines on June 27, 2021.

Dizon, who was also the deputy chief implementer of the National Task Force Against COVID-19 (NTF), said that the first batch of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine doses will be shipped from the United States to the Philippines on June 27.

Sa Linggo, darating na ang unang-unang shipment natin ng bakunang Moderna. Ito ay bakunang galing sa America at ito’y ibabahagi natin pati sa private sector,” Dizon said in a televised public briefing.

Earlier, NTF Chief Implementer and vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr said that some 250,000 Moderna COVID-19 vaccine doses, including those procured by the private sector, were expected to arrive in the Philippines on June 27.

According to Dizon, the supplies of COVID-19 vaccine doses were increasing due to the efforts of the private sector and the national government.
