Drew Arellano and Iya Villania received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Kapuso couple and media personalities Drew Arellano and Iya Villania recently received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Drew and Iya were among those who got inoculated against COVID-19 as the national government started vaccinating individuals in the workforce.
In her Instagram post, Iya expressed relief that she and Drew received their first dose after waiting patiently for months. Iya also urged the public to get inoculated if they have the chance.
“If you are that essential worker in your home that needs to leave the house to provide, now is your chance to get protected! Do it for yourself, your family, and for the nation. Each person vaccinated is a step closer to us achieving herd immunity and a chance to get our old norm back!” Iya said.
Iya also said that she and Drew were “more than happy” to get vaccinated with Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine.
The national government kicked off its COVID-19 vaccination drive for those under the A4 category last June 7.
Those who were covered by the said category were private sector workers who were required to be physically present at their workplace outside of their residences.
Also included in the said category were government workers, informal sector workers, self-employed who need to work outside their residences, and private household workers.
