Betong Sumaya received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Comedian and vlogger Betong Sumaya recently released his latest YouTube vlog wherein he received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Betong shared in a vlog post on his YouTube channel the preparations he made and the process he followed for his vaccination.
According to him, who was a resident of Quezon City, he he fell under the A3 category (persons with comorbidities) and so it’s a priority for him to be inoculated against COVID-19 as he had hypertension and was taking maintenance medication.
Betong registered in the virtual care network eZConsult and then waited several weeks before he was scheduled to be inoculated at Batasan Hills National High School last May 22.
After he received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, he was scheduled to receive his second dose on June 19.

Prior to the vaccination, he underwent blood pressure checking, counseling, and also filling out a health declaration screening form for the COVID-19 vaccine brand Sinovac.
For him, he’s no longer looking at what COVID-19 vaccine brand will be injected into him. What was important for him was that it’s available because he believed it’s the solution to the current health crisis.
“Kung ano mang vaccine ‘yan, kung ano man ang maabutan mo is the best vaccine para sa ‘yo,” Betong said in his vlog.
After receiving his first shot of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine, he underwent post-vaccination observation via blood pressure checking. He admitted that he felt a headache after receiving the first dose of the said vaccine but it also disappeared after a day.
Betong also clarified that it’s normal to feel the side effects and it shouldn’t be feared. He then urged his viewers to also get inoculated against COVID-19 as well.
