Robredo said in an interview with “Viewpoint” over the “Now You Know” Facebook page that she liked the idea of being brand agnostic, but she also said that it may have a different effect.

Ako, ideally, sana ganoon. Pero my fear on that is that baka baliktad yung effect na makuha natin. Ideal yon and that’s what other countries are doing but I’m not sure if it will work with us. So at this point hindi ko siya sinu-support. Baka if people are not informed of what vaccine they are getting, baka mas tumaas ang hesitance,” Robredo said.

Robredo then suggested for the government to address the reasons behind the hesitance first in order for this to work. According to her, vaccine hesitancy was real and the government wanted to address it.

The Vice President also shared that she convinced her staff to get vaccinated against COVID-19 even though she found it difficult to convince them.

Malacañang said this week that it wasn’t alarmed by reports that Filipinos in classes D and E were still hesitant to get inoculated against the coronavirus disease as this may change the moment many people have received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Aside from this, Robredo said that someone else had to address the people’s fear of getting inoculated as she pointed out that local government units (LGUs) were already overwhelmed in leading the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

According to her, the local government units already have a lot on their plate to give them another task.
