In a report on ABS-CBN News, Sue “broke down crying” when she got news that she had been cast in one of the main roles in the Philippine version of BBC Studios’ hit drama series.
On Friday, Sue was introduced as “Lexy Lucero” in ABS-CBN’s “The Broken Marriage Vow” — a drama series about a married couple whose family was rocked by the husband’s infidelity.

Lexy was “the other woman” whose affair with David Ilustre (portrayed by Zanjoe Marudo) ruined his marriage with Dr. Jill Ilustre (portrayed by Jodi Sta. Maria).
The three, along with Ilustres’ lone child Gio (portrayed by Zaijan Jaranilla), were revealed as the cast of the series in a recorded launch streamed last Friday afternoon.
A Star Magic artist, Sue recalled that she turned emotional after being offered the role of Lexy, pointing out the magnitude of the said project. According to her, she got a phone call from her manager saying that there’s going to be a pitch for her for a big project.
“I got a phone call from my manager saying that there was going to be a pitch for me for a big project. Of course, I’ve missed working with ABS. It’s a big, big project. When they told me, I broke down crying, because I really couldn’t believe na ako ‘yung napili nila for this role!” Sue said.
