In a statement, Senator Go said that this will give fresh graduates who will pass the examination the chance to immediately augment healthcare professionals combating the COVID-19.

Senator Go also said that there’s a necessity to augment the frontliners as temporary medical facilities in the Philippines needed to increase the number of healthcare workers (HCW) who will take care of COVID-positive patients.

Senator Go’s statement came after the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) announced that the Nursing Board Exam May 2021 schedule, which was previously rescheduled to November 2021, will push through on July 3-4 this year.

According to the Professional Regulations Commission, the Nursing Licensure Examination was initially rescheduled to November 2021 because of the increase in coronavirus cases in the Philippines, which could jeopardize the safety of future nurses and the PRC staff who will act as examiners.

Aside from this, the Professional Regulations Commission announced that the Nursing Board Exam November 2021 shall be retained.
