On Saturday, Sotto received his first dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in Pasig City.

Sharing a photo of himself getting vaccinated on Facebook, he explained that he’s the 57,858th Pasigueño to be inoculated against COVID-19 even if mayors were part of the A1 priority group.

According to him, the Vaccination Team had been after him for weeks to get inoculated. He added that he wanted to get inoculated but he figured out that others were at higher risk who should be vaccinated first.

However, Sotto said that he had come to realize that being vaccinated wasn’t just for himself but also for those around him. Sotto also shared that he can’t avoid having meetings and being on the ground for his job even if he’s careful and avoided physical contact.

Also, Sotto shared that he received the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and didn’t bother to get the vaccine manufactured by Pfizer.

Sotto then advised his residents that there’s still a limited supply but they were hoping to have more vaccines in the coming months.
