According to the DOH vaccine priority list, frontliners, health workers, senior citizens, and even people with comorbidities were also given priority to receive the vaccine. Those who wanted to get vaccinated against COVID-19 must first register with their local government.

But before he got vaccinated, Willie decided to get clearance from his doctor first because he had other existing health conditions.

Kanina ho ay nagpa-injection na ako. Nagpa-vaccine na po ako ng Sinovac vaccine. So ayan po, kanina po ‘yan, alas dos. Ayan, kadarating ko lang. Humabol nga ako dito ngayon at gusto kong magpasalamat sa mga taga-DOH, sa lahat po ng mga tao doon in the presence of doctors, mga nurses. ‘Yun pala kukuhanin muna ‘yung ano mo, blood pressure mo. Che-checkin ka lahat, oxygen mo, lahat bago ka nila ma-injection. Titingnan ho kung ika’y high blood o hindi. Sa awa ng Diyos kanina nasa ano ako eh, 130 over 80, batang-bata. Thank you po mga doc, siyempre,” Willie said.

Willie was scheduled to accept the second dose of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine on May 11. Also, Willie said that all of their staff were also scheduled to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
