Google was set to virtually host Google I/O 2021 event this year.
Google officially announced that the company was set to virtually host Google I/O 2021 event this year.
After entirely canceling Google I/O 2020 last year, Google officially announced that Google I/O 2021 will be virtual and free to attend.
The said developer conference was Google’s biggest event of the year and will run from May 18 to May 20, 2021.

The said event will feature Consumer and Developer Keynotes (focused on company news and product news) and followed by Technical Sessions for the company’s product announcements and how to adopt new features.
Those events will be scheduled throughout Google’s three-day event and will be available on demand. 9to5Google reported that the full lineup will be made available in late April this year.
Also, users will have to register for “Workshops” that were instructor-led and feature Q&A, while “Ask Me Anything (AMA)” sessions will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions to Google product experts.

According to a 9to5Google report, Meetups will also require registration and reservation. There will also be Interactive Sandboxes and Codelabs and Learning Pathways.
Interactive Sandboxes were available in I/O Adventure, allowing developers to try Google’s new features and products through a hands-on experience; while Codelabs and Learning Pathways were always-on and self-guided learning experiences that will help attendees adopt Google technology.
Registration was currently open and provided access to Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions, live Q&A during Sessions, Workshops, badges, personalized content, and chat in I/O Adventure.
