Anakalusugan Rep. Michael “Mike” Defensor called a report courtesy of ABS-CBN about Ivermectin, fake news.
In a post on social media, the legislator dubbed an ABS-CBN report titled “Defensor giving away veterinary drug Ivermectin to COVID-19 patients despite FDA warnings” a hoax.
“Isang malaking FAKE NEWS ang pinapakalat ng ABS-CBN na ang ipinamimigay ko na Ivermectin ay isang veterinary drug,” he said.
According to Defensor, the Ivermectin he will distribute is human grade or made for human use.
Ivermectin will be given to people, provided a prescription by their doctor.
According to him, the Ivermectin to be distributed will also be made in an FDA -authorized laboratory.
