On Friday, April 16, Maine apologized to the people she hurt because of her “careless” tweets during the time she was not yet an actor.

She said that she has now learned more to be careful with the words she utters, especially if it will affect the people around her.

Meanwhile, Ciara Sotto took to Twitter to express her support for Maine.

“You are not defined by your past mistakes. Whatever you’ve been through doesn’t have to be the end of you. You are valuable and irreplaceable. And I love you!!! @mainedcm,” she said.

After that, Ciara Sotto also gave a message to her followers. According to her, being an artist doesn’t mean you can’t go wrong.

“All of us have made mistakes in the past that we regret, especially when we were younger… Being a celebrity doesn’t mean we are not allowed to make those mistakes… we are human just like you. STOP THE HATE. BE KIND… TO OTHERS… and TO YOURSELF,” she noted.

Ciara Sotto and Maine Mendoza have been friends ever since they met and got together on Eat Bulaga!

Maine calls Ciara “ate” while Ciara sometimes calls Maine “babygirl.”
