According to Dominic, through “Huwag Kang Mangamba”, they brought back and reminded their viewers not only to entertain but to remind them that they should stop and sit down and pray.

Nawalan tayo ng istasyon, kinuha sa atin. Maraming nawalan ng trabaho pero dasal lang. And I’m very thankful that I’m seeing na yung mga IG nila, yung mga post nila, every morning I see mga prayers. Unti-unti tayong nag-hi-heal, unti-unti tayong dinadala. Yan yung rason kung bakit tayo nagkaroon ng show na ‘to, itong Huwag Kang Mangamba. Binabalik natin at pinapaalala natin sa ating mga manunuod, not just to entertain but to remind them maybe we should stop and sit down and pray,” Dominic said.

As part of his previous drama series that presented God as a central figure in its storyline such as “May Bukas Pa” and “100 Days to Heaven”, Dominic hoped that his latest project can help inspire the younger generation during these tough times.

With “Gold Squad” members Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri, Andrea Brillantes, and Seth Fedelin leading the cast of “Huwag Kang Mangamba”, Dominic said that the show also hoped to educate them on lessons in family, love, and faith in God.

Meanwhile, Andrea Brillantes — one of the “Gold Squad” members — shared how she prepared for her role as “Mira” in “Huwag Kang Mangamba”.

Considering that Mira was visually impaired in the said drama series, Andrea shared that she blindfolded herself while doing household chores in order for her to give justice to her role.

Sa bahay nag-ba-blindfold ako kasi ayoko ng mag-arte ng ganun, lalo na may mga taong talagang ganun. Gusto ko mabigyan ng justice yung role ko,” Andrea shared.
