After playing the iconic role of Marga Bartolome in ABS-CBN’s drama series “Kadenang Ginto”, Andrea admitted that she requested from ABS-CBN management to have her play the heroine for a change.

According to her, she wanted to show her acting skills to the public and she didn’t want to limit herself to being a villain because she loved different characters and challenging roles. Before taping for the drama series, the actress said that her preparation for the role came easy for her.

Andrea shared that she didn’t have much preparation to change her behavior from Marga to Mira because Annaliza was very close to Mira and the only difference was that it showed how Mira can be God-like than Annaliza.

According to her, what she actually prepared was that Mira was visually impaired and that’s what she really prepared more.

Sa bahay nag-ba-blindfold ako kasi ayoko ng mag-arte ng ganun, lalo na may mga taong talagang ganun. Gusto ko mabigyan ng justice yung role ko,” Andrea shared.

ABS-CBN’s new drama series “Huwag Kang Mangamba” was directed by Emmanuel Q. Palo, Jerry Lopez Sineneng, and Darnel Villaflor.

Other cast members include Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Kyle Echarri, RK Bagatsing, Diether Ocampo, Angeline Quinto, Enchong Dee, Dominic Ochoa, Mercedes Cabral, Soliman Cruz, Paolo Gumabao, Mylene Dizon, Alyanna Angeles, and Dimples Romana.

Last year, Andrea said that she couldn’t wait to start acting again with the “Gold Squad” even though she’s uncertain about the status of their careers in showbiz after the ABS-CBN shutdown.
