Residents Mauling Disconnector During Work Elicit Comments Online
The video footage of several residents mauling a disconnector of an electric company during its work goes viral online.
The Facebook page “Aksyon Radyo Iloilo” has shared the video footage of violent residents mauling a disconnector cutting the line of customer who failed to pay bills. The video elicits comments from the social media users.
On Monday (March 15, 2021), a disconnector of More Power Iloilo in Barangay Javellana, Jaro identified as Kevin James Cajilig has been mauled and beaten by some residents while trying to do his job.
Cajilig is supposed to cut the electricity line of a customer named Joel Dofitas after failing to pay its bill amounting P26, 000. Dofitas line is connecting to his ‘karinderya’ business and refused to let the disconnector to cut the electricity.
Dofitas and some of his colleagues mauled and beat the disconnector for trying to cut the line of electricity although it was their fault for not paying their bills.
