COVID-positive Harry Roque stressed he’s not quarantined at a luxury hotel
HARRY ROQUE – The presidential spokesperson denied that he is quarantined at a luxury hotel in Pasay.
Recently, Roque tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In response to the “fake news” that he’s staying at a pricey hotel in Pasay, he said he was at a hotel in San Juan being used as an isolation facility.
“Iyong tsinitsimis po na nandoon ako sa Pasay, I do not even know if we have the means to pay for that hotel,” he said.
“Masyadong grabe po ‘yan, 7-star hotel po ‘yan. Ang alam ko po, 2- to 3- star hotels lang po ang kinukuha natin, including motels. Hindi naman po ako nasa motel,” he added.
Roque, who’s asymptomatic, said he has been consulting his doctor if he could go home since he noticed that people staying at the hotel where he’s quarantined have symptoms of the dreaded virus.
Meanwhile, Roque is the fifth Cabinet member to get infected with COVID-19, after DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones, DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez, DILG Secretary Eduardo Año, and DPWH Secretary Mark Villar.
