Michael de Mesa received a “death threat” because of his character in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
The award-winning actor plays to the role of Ramil “Manager” Taduran, an ally of Cardo Dalisay in the group called, Vendetta.
While Cardo is being portrayed by Coco Martin.
On Facebook, a netizen- who appears to be an avid fan of Ang Probinsyano, threatened Michael.
The netizen said: “Hoy manager sana mamatay kna sa probinsyano mo. Pag nakita kita sa personal. Titirahin kita sa ulo mo at t*t* mo.”
Michael de Mesa shared the message sent to him by the netizen with the caption: “Ganun ba ako ka effective? Bro, teleserye lang yan. Wag masyadong seryoso. Positive vibes lang. Hahaha!”
Meanwhile, his showbiz friends have reacted on the matter.
According to them, it only shows how effective he is in portraying his character.
While others laugh off the message, Lea Salonga seriously asked: “Should I be worried, Mike?”
To which Michael de Mesa replied: “@msleasalonga Well, technically it’s a death threat but no, don’t worry. I’ll be fine. Just putting it out there.”
Aside from them, among those who reacted to his post are Dennis Trillo, Lorna Tolentino, Almira Muhlach, Quezon City Vice Mayor Gian Sotto, and Franco Laurel.
