Lawmaker Urges Gov’t To Plan For A “100-Day Summer Offensive” Against COVID-19

100-DAY SUMMER OFFENSIVE – A lawmaker urges the gov’t to come up with a plan to aggressively take on COVID-19 over the summer.

In a statement, Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto called on to the Palace to show the public that a victory against the pandemic can be assured. He added that instead of weapons, we can win the fight with “vaccines in the arms of people”.

According to an article from GMA, the lawmaker said:

Malacañang should use the anniversary to unveil a 100-day plan for a summer offensive from April to June, with clear targets in terms of the number of people vaccinated, the number of vaccines that will arrive, and where they will be sent

The Philippines began rolling out its vaccination program on March 1, 2021. Currently, 600,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines along with 487,000 shots of AstraZeneca vaccines are being circulated throughout the country.

Along with this, Vaccine Czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. said that around 90% of the vaccine were already deployed.
