Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan encouraged the public to support her song “Gabay” and Disney’s “Raya and the Last Dragon”.
This, as KZ’s “Gabay” — the first-ever Disney song in the Filipino language — was already available on Spotify.
In order to celebrate the release of her latest track, KZ listened to the song for the first time along with her fans by hosting a listening party through Instagram Live.
“May lakas na galing sa tubig, at sa puso mo’y mahika / Bibigyang dangal ang pamana, ‘pag liwanag ang ‘yong dala / Magkaisa nang tumibay, at ‘di mahihiwalay / Tatatag, ‘wag lamang matakot na subukan,” KZ sang in “Gabay” in which she called for unity and trust, among others.

In a report on Manila Bulletin, KZ was beyond thankful for the opportunity to sing “Gabay” on Disney’s “RAYA and The Last Dragon”. KZ then encouraged the public to support her track and the South East Asian theme-inspired animated film from Disney.
On her appearance in “Magandang Buhay” last Thursday, KZ said that she hoped everyone should support her track and Disney’s “RAYA and The Last Dragon” because “this is history”.
KZ shared that she’s a longtime fan of Disney character “Mulan”. She also shared some details on how she became the chosen singer of “Gabay”.
“They said they wanted me to do it. Noong una nga medyo ‘totoo pa ba? Baka nagkamali lang po ng send ng message.’ Kasi hindi ba parang I don’t sound like the singers who are often chosen. Last year nangyari ‘yung coordination and everything. Ayun nga ‘di ako makapaniwala, hindi ako ‘yung usual type of artist na i-expect mo na kakanta (“Gabay”).” KZ said.
