Edward Barber talked about his hosting stints
Former PBB housemate Edward Barber has this reaction when asked about being tagged as the next Luis Manzano and Robi Domingo.
From his stint in the Kapamilya reality show, Edward has come a long way. He did TV shows and movies and his tandem with Maymay Entrata is a big hit also.
Now, Edward is also one of the video jockeys on MYX, the music channel of ABS-CBN. Aside from this, he is also hosting a new talk show titled Kwentong Barber that streams live every Wednesday on Kumu, based on the article in The Philippine Star.
During the Kapamilya Strong event, Edward Barber was asked to react to the tagged that he is the next Luis Manzano and Robi Domingo, who had MYX VJ stints also and two of the well-respected male hosts in this generation.
“Flattered po talaga ako pero medyo malaking burden ‘yun ha. Those are big shoes to fill,” he said. Although Edward also ventured into hosting, he said that he sees himself differently from Luis and Robi.
“Sa tingin ko, iba rin ‘yung style ko than Robi and Sir Luis. I am not the same comedian that they are pero I think I bring a different style to it. Medyo iba ‘yung atake ko but I’m really, really excited to figure out who I am,” the younger host said.
Edward Barber also humbly admitted that he still needs guidance and that he is ready to grow when it comes to hosting.
“Sa hosting, nage-enjoy ako. Stress minsan pero enjoy ako. Sometimes it’s hard to find pero ayokong mawala ‘yun kahit anong mangyari,” he said.
