Fundraising campaign launched to suffice the medical expenses of Doris Bigornia
DORIS BIGORNIA – The family of the ABS-CBN broadcast journalist is in need of another one and a half million pesos for her medical expenses.
This is why her daughter Nikki opened a fundraising campaign via GoGetFunding.
Doris Bigornia underwent open-heart surgery last February because she had a heart attack, and she is also undergoing a dialysis procedure.
Putting a pacemaker on Doris is the new recommendation of her doctors to control and normalize her heartbeat.
Doris Bigornia’ scheduled pacemaker surgery is the reason why her daughter Nikki launched a fundraising campaign because they are once again facing huge expenses.
“While we are extremely grateful to those who have helped since mommy’s admission, after having been in the hospital for more than a month (and counting); it is, unfortunately, not enough,” Nikki said.
“We are knocking on everyones kind and generous hearts to help us in raising funds for mommy’s hospitalization,” she added.
After her successful open-heart/heart bypass surgery last February 25, she was transferred to the cardiac telemetry of the hospital from the ICU, where she’s currently being monitored.
