PNP Makes Statement On Valentine’s Date, Urges Public To Stay Home Instead
PNP ON VALENTINE’S DAY – The Philippine National Police makes a statement regarding Valentine’s dates on Sunday.
Would the day of love still flourish amid the pandemic? Well, according to the PNP, people could still go out on dates but, they have to ensure health protocols are being observed.
However, they also urged the public to stay at home for valentines instead. According to an article from GMA, the PNP said:
“From our end, kung makakabuti para sa kanila, doon na lang sila sa bahay, better. Pero kung sa palagay nila, lalabas sila para maging memorable sa kanila ang celebration, we leave it to them. But just comply with the minimum health requirements para sa kanilang kalusugan at safety as well”
Furthermore, PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Ildebrandi Usana said that couples should double-check their hotel-check ins. He noted that some hotels were used as quarantine facilities for COVID-19 patients.
“Actually, ang alam ko, ang nag-reopen ‘yung ilan sa mga establishments natin to include ‘yung motels. And ilan naman dito, based naman sa LGU regulations, may mga ordinances sila. They just have to be compliant in health standards“, he added.
