Father of Nicki Minaj died in a hit-and-run
Robert Maraj, the father of American-Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj died after being involved in a hit-and-run accident.
According to a statement from the Nassau County Police Department via a report from CCN, the 64-year-old victim was walking Friday night in Mineola, Long Island in New York State, US when he was hit by a “northbound, undescribed vehicle” that fled from the scene of the incident.
Maraj was rushed to the hospital while in critical condition and died on Saturday, February 13.
The homicide squad is already investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, the rapper has not yet issued a statement about his father.
Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty or popularly known as Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian-American rapper, singer, songwriter, actress, and model.
She rose to fame after releasing the mixtapes Playtime Is Over, Sucka Free, and Beam Me Up Scotty.
