Netizens Call Out DepEd On Social Media, Depicts Them As Clowns
NETIZENS CALL OUT DEPED – The Department of Education (DepEd) has yet again become the subject of ridicule on social media with netizens calling them clowns.
Recently, DepEd announced that they were considering shortening the two-month summer break into two weeks. Clearly, this didn’t bode well for millions of students who were struggling amid the new distance learning platforms.

Now, students called out DepEd and said they are exhausted with the new system. Meanwhile, others are concerned about how parents do their kid’s modules instead of their kids learning themselves.
But, once DepEd broke the news of shortening summer, students were outraged. Netizens on Twitter expressed their utter disbelief of DepEd’s thought process. Here are some of their comments:
“we aren’t lying when we said we are tired. WE ARE REALLY FREAKIN’ TIRED! tas gagawin niyo pang 2 WEEKS ang summer vacation. WHAT?? You advocate mental health but can’t even listen to our pleas, how disappointing..“
“I have always disliked the education system because I never felt that it cared for my wellbeing as a student but only sought to churn out another machine to contribute to the rat race. do better deped—so many of us are struggling right now and shortening a NEEDED break is not it“
Additionally, some netizens on social media even went as far as calling DepEd clowns after the announcement.
