Update on Christine Dacera Case Amid Investigation
CHRISTINE DACERA CASE – Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said a joint investigation of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) on the case is not anymore feasible.
The death of Christine Angelica Dacera has taken social media by storm. The 23-year-old flight attendant was found dead in a hotel in Makati City last January 1.
Dacera checked in at City Garden Grand Hotel together with her friends for the New Year celebration. They stayed at Room 2209 but they also met some people staying in Room 2207 because of a common friend.
According to her companions, they had hard drinks and they also played from parlor games. Unexpectedly, the flight attendant was found dead the following day.
The medico-legal report of the Philippine National Police (PNP) stated that Christine Dacera died of a ruptured aortic aneurysm.
The family of the flight attendant is not convinced with the findings. They cited the bruises on her body and stressed that the case is not yet closed.

At least 11 people who were with Dacera are currently facing charges over her death. These people are those who stayed with her in Room 2209 and some people they met in Room 2207.
Based on the Philippine Star, it is no longer feasible for the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to have a joint investigation on the CHristine Dacera case.
According to Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, it is because the PNP has already submitted its medico-legal report on the Christine Dacera case while the NBI is in the final phase of its investigation.
Currently, the Dacera family awaits the result of the investigation conducted by the NBI. They also insist on DNA examination of the organs checked in the medico-legal report of the PNP to find out if those are really Christine’s.
