At that time, the broadcasting unit of the network was suspended for more than two months, after being closed by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) on May 5, 2020, due to the expired franchise.
However, the President stressed that he will not allow ABS-CBN to return airing even though it will have a franchise. franchise.
According to him, the ABS-CBN Corporation must first pay their “taxes.”
But in a tweet, Agot Isidro said: “Si Duterte. Hindi ang kongreso, hindi ang NTC. Utos niya, simula’t sapul.”
Although many believe that President Duterte is behind the ABS-CBN shutdown, Malacañang has repeatedly denied this.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, February 9, Enchong Dee shared in a tweet the quote card about what Duterte said against the re-operation of ABS-CBN.
For the 32-year-old Kapamilya actor-entrepreneur, the issue of ABS-CBN should not be the focus of the President now that there are so many problems in the country due to the pandemic.
