Former actor Royette Padilla has passed away after suffering from a heart attack according to his family.
Rebecca Padilla, his sister who’s an actress and cinematographer, confirmed the news via a post on her Facebook account.
“Pls whisper a prayer for our brother Royette Padilla. A silent prayer for his eternal peace, please,” she wrote.
Followed by her post, “Together now in eternal peace and loving embrace of our Creator. Cheers Jane and Oyroro! Yakap,” attached with the photo of Royette and Jane.
Her post was then flooded with condolences from the netizens.
The 58-year-old actor rose to fame when he became part of the films Mistah in 1994, Buhay Kamao in 2001 and Alab ng Lahi in 2003.
Royette’s siblings are Rommel Padilla, Robin Padilla, and BB Gandanghari. They are yet to issue any statement following the death of their elder brother.
His last post on social media was a photo of him alongside his mom, Eva Cariño Padilla, on December 24.
“This is my happiest Christmas because the most wonderful mom mama eva in the world has fully recovered from her illness and beautiful again as ever!” he wrote.
“Merry Christmas everyone and to all your loved ones and specially to all my friends here in FB,” he added.
