The Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) stated that Filipinos would continue to grow in numbers as the number of people was projected to reach 110.8 million at the onset of 2021.
POPCOM’s estimates at the onset of 2021 were based on geometric-method projections using the last population census by the Philippine Statistics Authority in 2015.

As of 4:00 p.m. of January 18, 2021, Worldometer reported that the number of people in the Philippines was 110,399,896.
The population was increased by 27,561 compared to the number of people in the country last Sunday with 110,372,335.
According to Worldometer, its Philippine Population counter showed a continuously-updated estimate of the current number of population in the Philippines delivered by its RTS algorithm, which processed data collected from the United Nations Population Division.
Based on a report on Worldometer, the total population in the Philippines was equivalent to 1.41% of the world’s total population. It was also reported that the Philippines ranked number 13 in its list of countries by population.
If based on the graph presented at Worldometer, the yearly population growth rate declined, while the number of people in the country increased.
