South Korean actress and model Song Yoo-jung passed away at the age of 26.
According to Sublime Artist Agency via a report published by Soompi, she died last January 23.
However, the news website dedicated to K-pop and K-dramas did not state the cause of her death.
Song Yoo-jung rose to fame when she starred in the 2013 series, “Golden Rainbow” wherein she portrayed the role of teenage Kim Chun-won. The series also stars with Uee, Jung Il-woo, Cha Ye-ryun and Lee Jae-yoon.
In 2014, she starred in the series entitled “Make Your Wish” wherein she played the role of Han Da-won. It also stars with Oh Ji-eun and Ki Tae-young.
In 2017, she starred in the “School.” It is an anthology series that depict issues among youth such as bullying and the corrupt education system wherein she gave life to Choi Hyun-jung. It also stars with Kim Jung-hyun, Kim Se-jeong, Jang Dong-yoon, Han Sun-hwa, and Han Joo-wan.
She was also featured in the music video of “Goodbye Road,” a 2018 song by a K-pop boy band called iKON.
Soompi noted in its report that a funeral procession for Song Yoo-jung will be held Monday afternoon.
