Actress Chynna Ortaleza and “Callalily” vocalist Kean Cipriano recently shared how they balanced their family life and their work.
Despite the challenges they had experienced because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chynna and Kean eyed to make their vision a reality for this year.
At the virtual media conference of OC Records last January 27, Chynna admitted how she had been struggling and juggling her time and resources between her many roles.
“It’s so overwhelming at times because being a mom is demanding as you know. If there’s a mom here you’d know how I feel. But then of course you have to balance things. You have an artist-husband, you’re a muse to him, then after that, you’re working in a label with so many artists with conflicting egos and everything,” Chynna said.

Kean then echoed Chynna’s sentiments and shared the realities of their partnership and married life.
According to Kean, one of the challenging parts they faced was that they still have to discuss work-related concerns even if they wanted to relax or wanted to watch television.
Kean added that he’s just really happy that he had a wife who can also understand that they’re both in the creative field, as such, he thought they knew what they entered and they knew it.
He also said that he knew that they would eventually be able to pass the recording label on to their children as well so that was their reason why they’re grinding and working hard.
“So etong recording label naman na ‘to, alam ko na eventually mapa-pass on din namin siya sa mga anak namin so that’s why we’re grinding and working hard now to parang kumbaga ma-mount namin ‘tong company na ‘to na kumbaga with intergrity and kumbaga maayos ‘yung projection namin sa mundo,” Kean said.
Chynna and Kean got married twice and their marriage had been blessed with two children Stellar and Salem.
After their wedding, Chynna and Kean birthed their own record label OC Records last 2018 which they eyed to be a full-blown entertainment company.
Chynna and Kean intended to not only manage artists but to also produce, distribute, and license music and also to stage videos and events as well.
