YouTube had recently announced the availability of its new and latest feature on Android devices that can detect hateful comments on videos uploaded on the said platform.

In a recent blog post, YouTube had revealed some efforts in order to make the said platform “more inclusive” by showing a warning whenever a hateful comment was detected on a YouTube video and would give users the chance to be more “respectful”.

In a report on 9to5Google, “toxic” comments were all too well-known on YouTube and could be a source of anxiety and stress for creators on the said platform, and cleaning up the comments section was something that could make the platform a better place for everyone.

In order to lessen how often those comments appeared, YouTube was adding a new pop-up warning that appeared when negative or hateful content was detected within a comment.

The pop-up reminded users to “Keep comments respectful”, but only appeared on Android devices as of this writing.

This pop-up wouldn’t stop users from posting whatever they wanted, but it may cause some to take a second look at what they were about to say.
