Prominent actress Sylvia Sanchez recalled the time when went a 50/50 chance of survival after she tested positive for COVID-19.

Sylvia is one of the celebrities and popular personalities in the Philippines who suffered from the deadly virus. Fortunately, she and her husband Art Atayde were able to surpass this obstacle in their lives.

During a recent interview for Maalaala Mo Kaya‘s comeback episode, Sylvia plays the role of a mother whose child got infected with the virus. With this, the actress recalled the moment that their children also went through an emotional state when she and her husband got sick, based on the article from The Philippine Star.

“(The scenes) really brought back memories when I and Art (Atayde, her husband) tested positive for coronavirus after experiencing the symptoms and, eventually, rushed to the hospital,” Sylvia Sanchez shared.

Despite what happened, she is thankful for the love and concern that her family showed. She also appreciates those who expressed their prayers for her and Art amid their COVID-19 battle.

Sylvia shared that when her chance of survival went 50/50, she realized that there are many people who love her even though some of them she does not know personally.

“When I was on the brink of death, I all the more realized that there are many out there who love me. April 1 or 2 when I went 50/50 (chance of survival) and I was surprised that even the people I don’t personally know were praying for me,” the actress said.

After her health struggle, Sylvia Sanchez is still hopeful that things would be better for everyone.
