Quezon City Compound Placed Under ‘Special Lockdown’
QUEZON CITY COMPOUND – A compound was placed by the QC local government under a ‘special lockdown’ over the rise of the COVID-19 cases.
The Philippines is one of the countries that is currently dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The entire nation is still under community quarantine measures.

Metro Manila and other cities with high cases of coronavirus are currently under General Community Quarantine (GCQ). Low risk areas were placed under a Modified GCQ.
This holiday season, Christmas parties are not allowed in Metro Manila. Minors are also not allowed in shopping malls to shop.
Recently, a Quezon City compound was placed under a ‘special lockdown’ following the rise of the COVID-19 cases. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Quezon City Health Department said that an employee of the government attended a party in the said compound while showing symptoms of the disease.
The said government employee had a close contact with 80 people but only 44 of them went through the COVID-19 test. Out of the said number, 9 of them tested positive.
Based on the report, QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit Chief Rolly Cruz said that the employee might have contracted the disease in the person’s line of duty. From zero, there are now 12 cases in the said place.
Due to it, the local government of Q.C. placed the said Quezon City compound under a two-week special lockdown. Currently, there is a total of 1,097 active cases of COVID-19 in the city.
