Update on Philippines & China’s Total COVID-19 Cases, Deaths & Recoveries Now

PHILIPPINES – The total COVID-19 cases recorded in PH now is more than the total cases recorded in China.

Last December 2019, the first case of COVID-19, a type of coronavirus, was recorded in China. It hit Wuhan City and spread fast thus authorities locked the area for more than two (2) months.

However, starting January 2020, several other nations recorded cases of COVID-19. Some patients have travel histories in China. It took only a short time before local transmissions were confirmed in the different countries.

The Philippines is one of the more than 200 countries and territories that confirmed cases of COVID-19. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus disease as a pandemic after its effects went beyond what was expected of it.
