China Reports 36 Newly-Confirmed Imported COVID-19 Cases

China reported 36 newly-confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease.

The People’s Republic of China reported its newly-confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease or COVID-19 on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

The National Health Commission in China said that the country had recorded 36 additional COVID-19 cases. As reported by Reuters, “almost all” newly-added cases of coronavirus disease or COVID-19 were imported from overseas.

This brought the total number of confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease to 806, as reported by Reuters. In addition, 130 asymptomatic cases were also reported, bringing the total number of cases under observation to 1,367 as of March 31, 2020.

As of this writing, the People’s Republic of China had recorded a total of over 81,000 confirmed coronavirus cases and 3,305 fatalities.
