Vivo was set to launch X60 series in China on December 29

Vivo officially announced that the company was set to launch Vivo X60 series smartphones in China on December 29, 2020.

This, as Vivo began sharing details about the devices included in the smartphone series ahead of the official launch.

Recenty, Vivo confirmed that the Vivo X60 smartphone series will be powered by the Samsung Exynos 1080 chipset, which was manufactured using the 5nm EUV FinFET process.

As per the company, the Samsung Exynos 1080 SoC offered a 14% improvement in performance and about 30% in power consumption when compared to a chipset that was manufactured using an 8nm LPP process.

It used the latest generation of ARM‘s Cortex-A78 core and packed with a Mali-G78 graphics processor, which was claimed to improve performance by 25% compared to the Mali-G77 graphics processor.

Also, Vivo had confirmed that the Vivo X60 smartphone series featured a brand-new “ultra-stable and micro-pan-tilt technology 2.0” which could offer a better night mode shooting and could obtain a larger anti-shake angle compared to the ordinary OIS technology as well.

A recent leak revealed that the Vivo X60 featured a triple camera system which include a 48MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 13MP portrait camera.

It also featured second-generation micro-gimbal stabilization powered by ZEISS optics.

With this, Vivo was expected to launch three smartphones under the lineup — the Vivo X60, Vivo X60 Pro, and Vivo X60 Pro+ — and were expected to have an Android 11 operating system with OriginOS, a 120Hz refresh rate display, and a 33W fast charging technology support.
