United States President-elect Joe Biden will receive his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at a Delaware facility on Monday, one month before he took office.
This, as he’s eager to build Americans’ confidence in the COVID-19 vaccines.
Biden spokesperson Jen Psaki told reporters that Biden would be doing it in public to send a clear message to the public that it’s safe.
On the other hand, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris would be vaccinated the following week.
Meanwhile, US Vice President Mike Pence, his wife Karen, and Surgeon General Jerome Adams had received the COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech in the annex to the White House on Friday.

In a report on Manila Bulletin, large numbers of Americans had subscribed to the anti-vaccination movement and hostility to the COVID-19 vaccines in particular had been stirred by conspiracy theorists right-wing media personalities.
“It feels false because it is, it’s too slick,” Fox News host Tucker Carlson told viewers Thursday.
As per the report, there’s also a focus of mistrust among African-Americans, a group that Surgeon General Jerome Adams addressed after he got his COVID-19 vaccine.
According to Adams, Americans shouldn’t let misinformation and mistrust caused them to make a decision that’s bad for their health.

Last Tuesday, Biden told reporters that he would receive a COVID-19 vaccination publicly as Dr. Anthony Fauci had recommended that he would get the vaccine “sooner than later”.
