Pops Fernandez: “It wasn’t easy. Plus, it was also not planned.”
POPS FERNANDEZ – The singer talked about her relationship/friendship with ex-husband Concert King Martin Nievera after their separation.
In the virtual press conference for their upcoming show, the two shared how they get along after their annulment.
It was in 1982 when Pops Fernandez and Martin Nievera met and in 1986, they got married.
They had two children, Robin and Ram.
But in 1999, Pops Fernandez filed an annulment of their marriage and just a year later, the annulment of their nuptials was approved.
A few years later, the two became friends again and even worked together.
Martin Nievera said that they are proof that ex-couples can still get along.
“The magic is that we were friends [before]. Because our foundation was friendship, we were able to do this. We started as really good friends. I knew all the guys who were courting her. She knew all the girls I had crushes on,” he said
But the two clarified that it was not easy for them before they became friends again.
“It wasn’t easy, right?” he said. “It wasn’t easy. Plus, it was also not planned,” Pops Fernandez on the other hand noted.
It is said that their chemistry has a lot to do with the reunion of their friendship.
Martin also assured that his friendship with his ex-wife was not plastic.
