Earlier in the year, Siñas himself announced that no officer in the Philippine National Police may rise in rank if they are not fit. As such, several exercise programs were imposed to shred off some of the weight amongst PNP officers.
However, when Siñas was promoted to PNP Chief, netizens were confused as to how this was possible considering the previous requirements for promotion. But, determined to prove critics wrong, Siñas made the effort to get fit.
This started with a 4-minute work-out routine he made to the tune of Voltes V’s theme music. But, aside from this, Siñas recently revealed his simple secret to losing weight.
During a televised interview, Siñas proudly announced that he’d lost 20 kilos. Afterward, he even mentioned seeing a physician to help him with his weight loss goals.
According to an article from GMA, Siñas said his secret to losing that much weight was simple:
That’s almost four months program. ‘Di ba nag-umpisa ako, I consulted the doctor. I have my medical checkup, ginuide po ako kung papaano po… strict diet, healthy living, bawas muna ang mag-inom, tapos sleep well…
Obesity causes diabetes, heart disease which are comorbidities for COVID-19… Puwedeng mataba, huwag lang masyado kasi alam niyo, for the last nine months because of the pandemic, parang konti na lang nag-e-exercise at gumagalaw, the PNP chief previously said.
