Legal Expert Shares Advice and Reveals Who is Liable for Missing Parcels?

MISSING PARCELS – A legal expert has shared an advice and revealed the personalities who were liable over missing parcels.

Over the past few years, a lot of Filipino people have been already using online shopping applications to purchase their desired items. Online shops and courier services have been in demand amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The online services made the transactions easier for many Filipinos who were struggling to go to malls and stores to buy their personal needs. It also gives convenience to the customers in exchange of additional payment.

However, there are some instances wherein online shoppers experience stress due to late arrival of their package. Some parcels does not even arrived at all after waiting for a certain period of time.

A lot of shopper were having a debate whether the seller or the courier service is the responsible for missing parcels.

Recently, lawyer Gaby Concepcion said that the seller and courier must find out the cause of mismanagement. He also revealed that the liability depends on who is the responsible for the mismanagement of the packages.

“Magtututruan at magtuturuan ang seller at ang courier at maiipit sa gitna ang consumer, Kahit na sabihin natin na ito ay sagot ng courier dahil may obligasyon siya to deliver the goods properly, napakahirap actually for the ordinary consumer na habulin ito kasi wala naman talaga siyang kontrata with the courier,” Concepcion added.

Concepcion also advised the shoppers to book orders and transact with reputable online businesses and sellers only.
