Mi 11 would arrive without an in-box charger, according to Xiaomi CEO
In response to environmental protection, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun on Saturday announced that the company decided not to include an in-box charger in its upcoming smartphone, the Mi 11.
According to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, the included charger was canceled from Mi 11’s box in response to the call for “technology and environmental protection”.
The said announcement came over a month after mocking Apple with the company’s decision to remove the in-box charger of its iPhone 12 series and its older devices.
This showed that Xiaomi’s Mi 11 would pack lightly using a slimmer box similar to Apple’s iPhone 12, which means, it won’t do the same move Xiaomi made with the Mi 10T Lite Atlantic Blue model wherein the company managed to reduce plastic packaging by about 60% while keeping all the essentials inside the box — including the 33W fast charging power brick.
With this, Xiaomi Mi 11 phones might just arrive with the phone itself along with the data/charging cable.

Xiaomi Mi 11 was expected to be the first smartphone powered by the 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 high-end processor.
The company also hinted that it would use a top-quality QHD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 7 protection and a 120Hz refresh rate.
For its camera features, it would likely load with a 108MP OIS camera. The box of the Mi 11 also showed that its audio would be powered by Samsung’s Harman Kardon.
More information about Xiaomi Mi 11 — including its specs, price, and availability — will reveal during Xiaomi’s launch event.
