Leonardo DiCaprio to star in a movie about Manny Pacquiao?
Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio will possibly star in a movie about People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao.
In an interview, the 42-year-old politician-boxer shared that there has been a proposal for the award-winning actor to star in the movie about him. However, there are no final talks yet.
“There is a proposal but hindi pa kami seriously na nag-usap ng finality about that topic,” he said.
According to the report of tnt.abante.com.ph, Leonardo DiCaprio will portray the role of Coach Freddie Roach, the longtime trainer of Manny Pacquiao.
The senator also added that the movie about him will premiere via online streaming platform, Netflix.
“Iba-iba, tatlong movie ‘yun pero nandiyan ‘yung Freedom Fighters, at itong movie na ito ilalagay sa Netflix,” he said.
Aside from Leonardo DiCaprio, Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek will also star in the movie about the Filipino boxing superstar.
He is said to be playing the character of Manny Pacquiao. But unfortunately, there is no confirmation about it yet.
Leonardo DiCaprio rose to fame after starring in numerous star-studded films such as Blood Diamond, Catch Me if You Can, The Revenant, and Titanic, which is considered as one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
