Young Kapamilya actor Joshua Garcia is one of the former Pinoy Big Brother housemates who gained a flourishing career after their PBB stint. His loveteam with his ex-girlfriend, Julia Barretto, hooked a lot of people.
Collectively called as JoshLia, the two celebrities worked together in several hit films and other projects. Among their movies are Block Z, Vince and Kath and James, and Love You To the Stars and Back.
Joshua and Julia also did a TV series – Ngayon at Kailanman. The on-screen partners turned into a real-life lovers but their romantic relationship ended after two years.

It is no secret to the public that Joshua came from a poor family. His success in showbiz has greatly helped him uplift the financial status of his family.
Speaking to Pep, Joshua Garcia recently made revelations about himself when he was in high school and the past of his family.
According to the young actor who grew up in Batangas, he was a folk dancer whenn he was in high school. They have toured in Italy and as well as around the Philippines.
However, based on the article, there was a time when he was not able to join the tour in United States. That’s when he started to cut classes after missing the chance. Meanwhile, he reminds the children that his act is not something good to follow and they must not do it.
When his father lost his job, that’s when Joshua realized the financial status of their family. There was even a time when he rather went to school without money after seeing that his father only had Php 20.00 left in his pocket.
“So, inayos ko yung pag-aaral ko… First grading, okay yung grades ko. Second grading, nag-stop ako… Kasi yung ate ko. Isa lang kaya paaralin ng tatay ko,” he said based on the article.
Joshua Garcia was 17 years old when he joined PBB. Although he was not the champion of his batch, a lot of opportunities came his way and he is now one of the most prominent young actors in the industry.
