JOSHUA GARCIA – The young Kapamilya actor revealed the real reason behind his excessive weight loss.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the lives of all people even the celebrities in the showbiz industry. It is no secret to the public that actors and actresses are among those who have the busiest schedules.

Showbiz celebrities even turns night into days working. Usually, they do taping for movies and TV series and they have several other appointments like guesting, endorsement shoots, event promotions, etc.

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the best thing to do is to stay at home. One of those who turned to other activities during the lockdown is actor Joshua Garcia.

However, a lot of people were worried upon seeing the photos post by Joshua during the lockdown. He lost a lot of weight.

Recently, Joshua Garcia revealed the real reason behind his excessive weight loss. Speaking to Bianca Gonzalez for Cinema News At Home Edition, the actor recalled his schedule in playing computer during the first month of the lockdown.

According to Joshua, during the first month, he really had sleepless nights playing computer. He would reach the other day just sitting in front of the screen for his games.

Aside from it, the actor revealed that he overdid his cardiovascular exercises. He used to jog around the village and he also drinks a vitamins that speeds up the body metabolism based on an article on Pep.

“Nasobrahan ako sa cardio, wala akong weights… Nasobrahan, sobrang payat ko… Anlala ng payat ko,” the young actor said.

Based on the article, Joshua Garcia has another thing now aside from exercise – reading books. He revealed that he and his ex-girlfriend, Julia Barretto, used to buy a lot of books then but he was not able to read them.

Now, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate makes it a goal to read 40 to 50 pages of a book daily. He has already finished reading several books including The Creative Curve and the Secret Life of Introverts.
