Joshua Garcia Texted Julia Barretto After They Worked Together Again
JOSHUA GARCIA – The Kapamilya actor revealed what he said in his recent text messages to his actress ex-girlfriend, Julia Barretto.
One of the celebrity breakups that hooked a lot of people was the split of former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Joshua Garcia and actress Julia Barretto. They are a loveteam under the ABS-CBN network and are collectively called “JoshLia”.
Joshua and the daughter of Marjorie Barretto worked together in several projects including the 2018 television series Ngayon at Kailanman and the movies Vince and Kath and James (2016); Love You To The Stars And Back (2017); Unexpectedly Yours (2018); I Love You, Hater (2018); and Block Z (2020).
A lot of people were saddened by the breakup of JoshLia. It was a controversial split wherein the name of Gerald Anderson, Julia’s co-star in the movie Between Maybes, was dragged.

Recently, the public was surprised when Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto reunited in Star Cinema’s digital series Unlock. The former PBB housemate admitted at Cinema News At Home segment that he did not expect to be working with his ex-girlfriend that early.
Based on a report on Pep, Joshua stressed that the industry is small and he knows that they’ll be working together again but he did not expect it to come last month.
“Sa akin naman, wala namang kaso, kasi okay naman kami ni Julia. Wala naman kaming problema,” the former PBB housemate said.
Based on the report, Joshua Garcia revealed that he texted Julia Barretto after they did the digital series. They were not able to check on each other as there were a lot to prepare for the series.
“Tinext ko agad si Julia, sabi ko, ‘Nice to see you. Thank you for today, tapos ingat kayo ng family mo. Nag reply lang siyang ‘Thank you.’ Sabi ko, ‘Maganda, masaya episode,'” he said.
Joshua was asked what he misses most about Julia. The actor admitted that he misses the presence of the actress and stressed that it’s really a different feeling when you are in a relationship and you are a team.
