The victim was identified as Prince Joaquin Relatos, 23, a resident of Mt. Carmel Subdivision, Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City.

The driver of the tricycle, Wilmar De Asis, 27, a resident of Purok Pedrosa, Barangay Alijis, was injured.

In an interview of Aksyon Radyo Bacolod with the subdivision guard identified as Randy Saranillo, it was alleged that three vehicles were involved in the accident; the tricycle ridden by the engineering graduate, a private vehicle, and a truck loaded with pipes.

According to the guard, the private vehicle allegedly hit and ran the tricycle, making it passed by in the direction where the truck is headed.

Police are still investigating the accident.

Meanwhile, Edna, the mother of the engineering graduate, said that it would have been the last week of her son’s job training.

According to the mother, her child even informed her that he’s going home at the time.

The victim graduated from the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering course this year.

He was the second of three siblings.

The Relatos family is calling on the driver of the private vehicle to surrender to the police.
