Former actor Edgardo “Edgar” Quizon, the son of Comedy King Dolphy with former actress Grace Dominguez, has passed away.

Edgar Quizon died of pneumonia on Tuesday afternoon, December 15 at the age of 63.

Edgar also became part of the movie industry while doing films under RVQ Productions, the film outfit owned by the Comedy King.

Among the films that Edgar made when he was still active in showbiz were Dancing Master, Dolphy’s Angels, Good Morning Professor, and May Pulis, May Pulis sa Ilalim ng Tulay.

His remains will be cremated at St. Peter’s Chapel, on Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City, this Wednesday afternoon according to his 36-year-old son Egai.

“Pneumonia po ang ikinamatay ni Dad at family decision po na ipa-cremate siya. Mapagmahal siyang ama. Although may mga pagkukulang siya, pero alam namin na mahal niya kami,” he said.

“Naalaala ko siya kapag sabay-sabay kaming kumakain at nagkukuwentuhan. Mahilig kasi siyang kumain,” he added.

Meanwhile, Eric Quizon posted on his Instagram account a farewell message for his step brother.

“Farewell Kuya Edgar, may you find peace in heaven. Please hug Dad, Kuya Freddie, Kuya Rolly and Dino for me. You will be missed. We love you. Rest in peace my brother,” he said.

Epy Quizon also paid tribute to the late actor.

“We will miss you Kuya Edgar. Be with Dad, Kuya Freddie, Dino, and Kuya Rolly. Take care of each other. We love you. Rest in peace our beloved brother,” he said.
