The Catanduanes town police chief made a buzz online after he said in a now-deleted Facebook post that even the older ones should respect the law enforcers.

He even confirmed Sonya Gregorio was among to be blamed in the confrontation between her, her son, and the killer cop.

His statement earned the ire of netizens and among those who reacted is no other than Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr.

“Is it true an (expletive) police officer said that this incident will teach people, even if they have white hair, to respect police? Pu******* mo. I see you in the street I will run over you, you piece of native sh*t and incontrovertible proof that Independence was premature,” Locsin said.

Meanwhile, according to PNP Bicol Chief PBGen Bartolome Bustamante, the chief-of-police of Bato, Catanduanes has been relieved from his position.

“Paimbestigahan pa rin po ‘yung chief of police kahit na po nirelieve na siya. Procedures pa rin po natin,” he said.

It was also confirmed by Philippine National Police spokesman Police Brigadier General Ildebrandi Usana.

Police Lieutenant Fidel Romero Jr. will assume his post.
