A Black Wedding In Iloilo Goes Viral For Avant-Garde Theme
BLACK WEDDING IN ILOILO – Traditionally, you’d hear about girls wanting to have their dream wedding dressed in all white. However, this wasn’t the case for a bride from Iloilo City.
Instead of the traditional white wedding dress, the bride chose to go against the grain and wore black. According to the groom, black was their favorite color.
As such, they wanted their wedding to be one their family and friends would always remember. Based on an article from Inquirer, Gerald Jetonzo, the groom, said:
“Black was our favorite color. And we want to break custom norms that the wedding is only white. We want to make our wedding memorable for our family and friends”
However, even before the wedding, the couple, Gerald and Daryl Jetonzo, made sure that the parish priest would allow them to go through with their plan. Luckily, the parish priest did just that.
According to an article from Inquirer, the bride also sang for her husband as she was walking down the aisle.
Surely, this wedding, more than eight years in the making, would go down as one of the most memorable events of 2020.
