AKTOR now officially registered with SEC.

AKTOR: League of Filipino Actors was officially registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), according to a report.

This, as Dingdong Dantes sat as chairman of the board, while Agot Isidro presided as CEO and president of AKTOR.

It was last July when the actor-director posted about the creation of the said group which was composed of showbiz industry’s collaborators and co-creators in order to give them a collective voice on various issues.

AKTOR was made last May 30 and had already taken a stand on a number of social issues.

TV Patrol reporter MJ shared in a series of tweets that AKTOR was open to all active (2-3 years active work in television, movie, and stage — indie or mainstream) actors.

AKTOR also shared in a zoom interview with some of its Board of Directors that the thrust of the group was to “look after the welfare of the community in the industry”.

Agot Isidro, the president and CEO of AKTOR, also aired the lack or work opportunities for members of the industry during the coronavirus pandemic.

A lot of our members, siguro half are not working. Hindi pa sila back to work. There are fortunate ones na back to working pero yung iba are still not working,” Agot said.

MJ also reported that AKTOR had been actively helping some of its members through “AKTOR TINDAHAN” and raised funds in order to buy over a million’s worth of relief goods and financial assistance to families recently affected by Typhoon “Ulysses” as well.

Mylene Dizon, a member of AKTOR, shared her sentiments about the group’s impact for change. According to her, she really dreamed that people would think differently of them.
