Kalibo local government places Purok 1 under SECQ
The local government of Kalibo town in Aklan placed Purok 1 on C. Laserna Street in Poblacion for a 14-day Surgical Enhanced Community Quarantine (SECQ).
Based on the records of the Provincial Epidemiology Service Unit of the Provincial Health Office or PHO 16, there are seven new cases of COVID-19 in the area that are all close contacts of a COVID-19 patient who died on November 17.
SECQ started on Friday, November 20 and will end on December 4.
The local government continues to provide assistance to the residents of the said place affected by the SECQ.
Meanwhile, according to the PHO, there have been 215 recorded cases of COVID 19 throughout Aklan.
Of the said number, 33 are active, nine have died (including one in Purok 1) and the others have recovered.
Based on the latest data of the Department of Health, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country reached 415,067 on Friday after 1,639 were added.
Those who recovered were 375,237 while 8,025 died after 305 new recoveries, and 27 new deaths were added respectively.
